"A Virtual Journey" to the USA

A new project has appeared as a result of local teachers' repeated requests for the preparation and conducting multimedia classes on history, culture and traditions of the USA using the Window on America centre materials.

We started our work with a multimedia lesson devoted to the Presidents' Day, a US public holiday celebrating the birthdays of Presidents proclaimed by President Nixon in honor of all US Presidents. Due to our collection we were able to give interesting information to our customers (users). They had an opportunity to listen to the recorded voices of the XXth century presidents - starting with Theodore Roosevelt to Bill Clinton, to get acquainted with interesting facts from their lives and the lives of the first ladies, to learn more about the symbols of the presidential authority (seal and emblem).
